Reference to the Goldener Adler

The roots of our senior boss Josef Hackl lie in southern Styria.

Here today aunt Ridi, uncle Franz and son Franzi live and work on the beautiful farm near Leibnitz. The house name is “Melchert” and therefore we dedicate this beautiful room to our dear Styrians.

Grandma Frieda and Grandpa Josef Hackl (father of our senior boss), who had built up the farm, are unfortunately no longer with us.

But this way the “Melchert farmer” will not be forgotten and will always have a big place in our hearts.

xcursion tip

Family and tradition are very important to the “Hackl’s”. In Innsbruck there are many important family businesses, surely one of the most famous of the city is our today’s excursion tip for you.

Tradition is the passing on of the “fire” to realize something special.

Since 1599 the bell foundry Grassmayr has been casting bells and works of art have been cast in bronze. For over 400 years the mysterious effect of the bell music as well as the art of craftsmanship shapes the Austrian family business Grassmayr.

Visit the Bell Museum, which is a special combination of bell foundry, bell museum and sound room.

It was awarded by the Federal Ministry for Culture with the “Austrian Museum Award”. Not only in Innsbruck in the Cathedral of St. Jacob, the Basilica and the Abbey of Wilten and the Jesuit Church; bells from the Grassmayr family are ringing worldwide.

A special highlight about 20 minutes from Innsbruck:
The Alpine Peace Bell in the Telfer district of Mösern is an imposing, free-standing bell on a hill with a magnificent view of the of the Upper Inn Valley.

It symbolizes the cohesion of the countries of the alps and is rung daily at 5 p.m. for good neighborliness and peace. In the meantime it has become a kind of place of pilgrimage, more than 100,000 visitors come every year, naturally cast in the house of Grassmayr.
